CRAMLI Family and Children’s Clinic

Supporting Individuals and Families through Tailored Interventions.

The CRAMLI Family and Children’s Clinic is designed to support individuals and families through a combination of one-on-one therapy and group-based interventions. Our services address emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges with a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach.

Our Frameworks and Interventions

At CRAMLI, we incorporate leading therapeutic models and frameworks that ensure compassionate, person-centred care. These include:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – Developed by Aaron Beck

  • CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviours.
  • Provides practical tools to challenge unhelpful thinking and build healthier responses to stress, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation.

Albert Ellis – Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT):

  • A precursor to CBT, REBT helps individuals identify and challenge irrational beliefs, improving emotional and behavioural outcomes.
  • Supports children, young people, and families in managing issues like anger, anxiety, and frustration.

Marsha Linehan – Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT):

  • Combines mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • DBT is particularly effective for individuals with intense emotions, self-harming behaviours, and relational challenges.

Bruce Perry – Trauma-Informed Interventions:

  • Perry’s neurodevelopmental model emphasizes how trauma affects brain development and behaviour.
  • Includes practical approaches such as Dan Siegel’s "Flip Your Lid" concept, which explains the brain’s response to stress and dysregulation, helping caregivers and children recognize emotional triggers and restore calm.

Positive Psychology – Founded by Martin Seligman:

  • Focuses on strengths, resilience, and fostering positive emotions, relationships, and meaning.
  • Helps individuals and families build skills to enhance wellbeing, optimism, and overall mental health.

Our Services:

1:1 Individual Support

  • Tailored therapeutic sessions for children, young people, and parents.
  • Combines CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed practices to address challenges like emotional dysregulation, anxiety, stress, grief, and behavioural concerns.

Group Work and Therapy

  • Children’s Groups: Focus on emotional literacy, social skills, and resilience-building through play-based and interactive activities.
  • Family Support Groups: A safe space for families to strengthen communication, connection, and problem-solving skills.
  • Teen Programs: Group sessions designed to teach emotional regulation, mindfulness, and coping strategies.
